Erzurumspor and Denizlispor are two professional football clubs in Turkey. Both clubs currently compete in the country's top-flight football league, the Süper Lig.
Erzurumspor is based in the city of Erzurum in Eastern Turkey. The club was founded in 2005 and played in lower divisions of Turkish football until the 2017-2018 season when they were promoted to the Süper Lig for the first time in their history. Erzurumspor's home stadium is the Kazım Karabekir Stadium which has a capacity of around 23,000 spectators.
Denizlispor, on the other hand, is based in the city of Denizli in Western Turkey. The club was founded in 1966 and has a rich history in Turkish football. They have won several lower-league titles, as well as the Turkish Cup in 2012. Denizlispor's home stadium is the Denizli Atatürk Stadium which has a capacity of around 18,500 spectators.
In the 2021-2022 season, both teams have faced each other twice in the Süper Lig. In their first encounter held on August 28th, 2021, the match ended in a 1-1 draw. In the second encounter held on January 27th, 2022, Erzurumspor won 2-1 against Denizlispor.
